Overview
In this semiannual project, we designed a product, as usual, but from a technical approach.
The first task focused on analysing a hair dryer from the engineering perspective.
Then, we proposed different innovative solutions and decided based on objective data: users experience.
Finally, we created a 3D model of the hair dryer and printed it to present it to the class.

Based on an existing hair dryer, we disassembled it to analyse each part. With that information, we created a diagram to understand how it works.
Then, in order to later create our own product based on existing components, we measured each part and created a 3D model of it. In addition, to fully understand our role as designers in this industrial society, we used the software Ansys Granta Edupack (EcoAudit) to measure the carbon footprint of the product.
